Welcome Pageant Contestants

Senorita Independencia de Mexico 2026 Pageant is an OUTDOOR event that will take place in Alamo. 

Date: Friday September 25th, 2026
Location: The Landmark on Tower, 103 N. Tower Rd.
ALAMO, Texas 78516
Check In: 6:30pm for all contestants
Pageant Time: 7pm to 8:30pm

This pageant is open to natural born females from across south Texas (Austin to Brownsville and anywhere in between). If you are traveling from out of the area there are several hotels you can book close to the location. No Experience Needed to Join! It is recommend that you do practice your walks, modeling, poses before event on your own especially if you are new to pageants.

This is a very simple one outfit pageant. You will be judged on outfit adhering to theme, outfit quality and coordination, and how you work the stage; modeling, walking, poses, eye contact and overall presentation. 

All ages 3 and under just have 2 areas of competition: Photogenic & Theme Wear

All contestants over 4 years old will also do a 30 second to 1 minute self introduction on the microphone.

This should include your name, age, city you represent, school related facts, and any hobbies or interest. This pageant does NOT have interviews, no onstage questions, no talent, no evening gown, and no practices, like are usual pageants do, because of the nature of the event.

Arrive DRESSED and READY to go on Stage!!

Any parents walking child on-stage (under 3 yrs old) must wear black (if possible) this is so that you don't take away attention from your child. Ages 4 and up MUST walk on stage by themselves parent/guardian must wait off stage. There are restrooms there that can be used as a changing area if needed. 

Entry fee will be $65 (paid before the pageant)

If paying cash it must be done by deadline in Harlingen

1/2 page ad in our color program book (5.5 X 8.5)
Entry into the pageant
1 printed program book day of the event

GENERAL ADMISSION TO THE EVENT IS FREE! No Tickets are required. The digital program book will be available via a QR CODE free of charge.

***Director has the right to close, add, combine, split into two, and adjust age divisions as needed based on final counts of Registered Participants and is always done in the fairest way possible for contestants.

Areas of Competition and Outfits Requirements
All Contestants MUST submit 1 good quality headshot photo when you submit online application that will be used for program book, most photogenic award, on screen at event, people's choice voting, and for those who are 3 years of age and younger the photo is part of your score.

Theme: Cultura y Tradición
Mexico Heritage Dress Wear
This MUST be a DRESS that reflects the Hispanic, Latina and/or Mexican Culture and Traditions. You MUST adhere to the theme. Walk and outfit coordination will be judged. This is an outfit of choice (any color is fine but keep in mind the colors of Mexico are Red, White and Green). You may use props such as hats (sombreros), sunglasses, scarfs or other things that are representative of the Mexico culture etc. 

On-Stage Introduction
This is brief introduction, try to keep under 1 minute. It must include your name, city, age and may include goals, favorite quote, hobbies or something interesting about yourself. May be done in Spanish but not required. 

People’s Choice
Award will be given to contestant who gets the most votes via cash app. This is for an extra award on stage. Each vote will be $1.00. No Limit! This does not affect scores or crowning. Proceeds will go to local charities. A nice crown, ribbon sash, and trophy will be given on stage.

Photogenic Photo
Must look as professional as possible, clear and good resolution. No distracting backgrounds. Must be a head shot that shows your natural facial beauty without effects or alterations. Be sure to smile! For girls under 3 years, photo will be judged and part of your score. 

THIS IS A SEMI-GLITZ PAGEANT. Girls can wear make-up but MUST be age appropriate, no nails under 5, No Tans that are out of the norm or distracting, Keep hair pieces to a minimum, No showing of midriff (stomach area for younger age groups) ALL OUTFITS MUST BE AGE APPROPRIATE! Anyone not following rules will lose points on their scores.

Crowning: One Queen will be crowned in each age division. They will receive a Rhinestone Crown, Satin Sash, Crown Pin and a Trophy. Runner Ups will get a small crown and an award (trophy or plaque) Judge's decision is final. You may inquire about your score after the pageant via text; those will be sent out 1-2 weeks after the pageant by director. After a month, scores sheets will no longer be available for request. Crowned Queens MUST attend at LEAST 3 community events during year of reign.
